Has anyone here seen the new magazine by SAIL, BoatWorks? I saw an add for it but cannot find any local copies. If anyone has seen and read this (quarterly?) publication (April is the kickoff), any feedback would be appreciated.

My first impression is that it''s pretty good. Perhaps the editors of "Sail" are taking a cue from the success of "Good Old Boat", realizing that the world is in fact NOT full of sailors with nothing better to do than spend spend spend.

There''s a REALLY good little article on the Atomic 4, and a few other worthwhile reads.

True to their "Sail" heritage, however, the posed photographs are just laughable. I think my favorite is of a guy "working" on his electrical panel with nothing but a leatherman and a crescent wrench!! what about all the bits of wire and insulation all over the place? where''s the box of crimp fittings that''s been knocked over twice already?? too funny.

Anyway, I don''t think they can keep it up for long. Their primary challenge will be to continue to find worthy new topics, and Good Old Boat has pretty much mined that area clean already.

Looked pretty good to me also, lot of content for one issue, may not have that much in future issues. You may not always agree with methods used but they are quite detailed compared to many sources.BTW I picked up a copy at Borders Books, while looking for Cruising World, it caught my eye.
