I would also check your keel bolts to make sure they are properly torqued down. If they are loose anything you do will just flake off again.

Yep, guess what? The stuff peeling off was 5200 painted over with VC17M Extra. And the worst part is... I am the one who put it on! I must be getting old and my memory is failing!

Anyhow, thanks all for the answers, ideas, etc - this forum is the best!

And the good news is there are no cracks or problems around the keel. I put the 5200 on there to "smooth" out some imperfections! DUH
