mounting rod holder to fiberglass transome

I have a rib and the transome is fiberglass. I was considering mounting pole holders to it. How do you drill and seal the bolt holes?

Has anyone ever drilled through a fiberglass hull?

If you want to mount rod holders that will never come loose you can drill right through and bolt with stainless hardware. Silicone on each side is smart to keep water from seeping into the transom core.

There is no real trick to it just measure twice and drill once
