After Doing this.......

I put the cushions, that I spent the winter making, into the boat.

Re: After Doing this.......

Nice job. After all your hard work don't leave them in the boat or they may smell moldy come spring & that would be the pits.

Re: After Doing this.......

I'm a little confused. Are you making the boat, or the cushions or both this winter? I need to know whether I should be at 8 on the impressed dial or whether I have to turn the knob to 11!

Nice. Now get them off the boat before they become mold magnets.

My humble apologies. Please pardon me. I assumed he spent the winter "making" cushions. One usually does not "make" a boat, but usually "builds" a boat. If he had spent the winter undertaking the construction of a vessel then he would have said: "...spent the winter building...". Although better sentence structure initially would have clarified the meaning of the sentence, I took the liberty of assigning typical verb usage to a typical function. Nontheless, you were, and remain, correct.

No grammar policing there, I was going to ask the same question, but saw it had already been asked.
