Sta-lok reuse

Hi, as I began to replace my standing rigging wire, and try to reuse the existing Sta-lok end fittings, a couple of questions came up:

1 - Is there a standard procedure or tool for the extraction of the wedge? I am considering a screw extractor, but it might damage the socket.

2 - Can I reuse the former, or do I need to replace that too?

I have also sent this question to info@stalok.com. Their standard installation procedure is for a new fitting.
