Fuel Line Bleeding - W60 On Pearson 424
I have a ''79 Westerbeke 60 and I''ve encountered the unfortunate (or just plain stupid) problem of running out of fuel. I know I need to put diesel in the tank and bleed the fuel lines. I know there is supposed to be a certain number of "bleed screws" and a "thumb pump" (it is NOT a self-bleeding engine). I can''t find the supposed 4 screws (only 3) or the thumb pump. Maybe there''s some other mechanism????
I''m having trouble with the exact process for this particular engine and I dont'' want to damage anything. Is there anyone out there who is really familiar with this engine who can describe the process and identify components/locations more easily and accurately than the manual.
Come on Jack/Whoosh, lay it on me!! I''d love to hear from you or anyone else who knows. Thanks all!
Fairwinds,
Paul
