Standardized track?

I recently bought a 1981 Neptune 24. I was reading the manual when I noticed that I was missing the two jib sheet blocks. There is a track for them, but no actual blocks.

Are all block tracks standardized, or does each company have their own set of tracks? If I got to a sailboat store and ask for "tracked blocks", will the guy know what I am talking about?

You'll need to know the track width... As long as the block matches the width it's likely to fit OK. Ask for a genoa car and block for a (1" or 3/4") track.

As Faster said, you have to know the size (width) of your tracks.

A word on Garhauer sliding blocks, tho. We put some on 1" Sheaffer track, and while the slides worked fine, the Garhauer pins were slightly larger than the track's hole, requiring us to bore out every.single.hole in the tracks. It was as fun as it sounds. So different manufacturers may work to slightly different standards.

As it turns out, the missing blocks were in a crate of spare supplies in the boat. Oops.
