Musto br1 salopettes vs others

Evening all,
Does anyone have an opinion for against the musto br1 salopettes vs a different set in the same price range, say gill 02 or another? I mostly day sail/overnight in the cheaapeake on the weekends and have done one weeke long cruise around the bay. Would like to do more cruising and tryout a race here or there.
Thanks!

I have both Musto Hpx and Mpx gear and have been extremely satisfied with both. The HPX keeps me dry and is durable and breatable. The MPX gear, a gift from racing crew, is my "go to" gear except in very cold, rainy weather. Sorry, I have no experience with the salopette.

If you insist on calling them salopettes, then yes go with Musto or perhaps Henry Lloyd. But if it is bibs ye seek, then find the pair that fits you the best. Bibs can get very hot so you may not want to buy something that is more suitable for mid-winter in the North Atlantic when your intended use is “tropical” Chesapeake in the summertime. I have two pairs myself - one for inside the Bay and in the tropics and another pair for offshore in the fog and dreary. I was fortunate that I could get away with Gill. But once again, fit and comfort trumps cheap every time.

Thanks, I only looked at this thread because I didn't have a clue what a salopette was, now that I think about I don't think I would want to wear a salopette, sounds pretty girly to me. lol I'll take bibs anyday.

back to your normally scheduled discussion of salopettes
