Idle Adjustment for Nissan 3.5hp

I have rebuilt the carb on my dingy motor using the official Clymer Shop Manual, very few problems. I am unsure of how to adjust the throttle stop screw assembly (idle screw). How many turns from all the way in is best? The manual does not give any idea on the smaller engines. Any help may save me time tinkering on the water.

sounds like your talking about the low speed jet adjustment. try bringing it out 2 turns from all the way in and then fine tune from there. better to be to rich as too lean. also nissan has a tech talk at their web site, it''s www.nissan.com
