Cal 28 Teak Toe Rail

The teak toe rail on my Cal 28 MkII is mounted on a one inch piece of plastic that runs from the bow to the stern on both sides of the boat. The plastic is broken in several places and water is getting in the boat.
Where can I buy new plastic and what is the best way to remove and replace it?
Thanks

I have the same construction on my Cal 33-2. I think you are going to have a tough time finding an identical replacement. And it will be a huge job, requiring removal of the entire toerail, etc. You could certainly just reinstall the toerail with LIfecaulk or something similar in place of the gasket.

Are your sure that is where the water is coming from? Not from stanchion bases or other leaking fittings? You certainly don't want to go to all that trouble and find out its coming from somewhere else.

I won't remove the toe rail without first checking the stanchions and and rigging for leaks. I enclosed some pics of the toe rail with the plastic (PVC??) mounting. The starboard side has the 3 to 4 inch piece missing as a result of a collision, I suspect. Where does one find a piece that serves as a mounting for the teak rail that runs the length of the boat?
Any suggestions on how to make the repair?
Thanks
