Great video. I can remember of only one time I got stranded. This guy managed just in one day to do that an incredible number of times...and get away with it. A specialist no doubt

I love Google earth - on my journey it really helps me to find cheap places to keep the boat

and when I drop the mast and venture upstream I can use google street view on the bridges to see what the rivers look like

I am really enjoying the Humber

never seen ten knots on the GPS before - six knots of tide plus four knots of sailing

then there are other days when the river is as placid as a sleeping labrador

very brave when the tide is rising underneath me

the boat only draws 15 inches and has a pair of small keels - more like metal skids - and then a centre plate for up-wind work
