Re: Dinghy Cruising/Camping?
Sorry to hear about your mishap. Is there any hope of fixing it? If you go for a new boat will you be looking for another open boat, or something with a small cuddy?
There is like a tiny chance of fixing it, but it would take A LOT of work, and I don't have the time/money to do that right now. We spent pretty much all of last winter getting it out of derelict status and into racing shape, so doing a ton more work on it just doesn't sound super appealing right now.
I think I would like to have a small cuddy on my next boat, more for gear storage than sleeping, but only if the boat also had fantastic performance. I'm really spoiled with sailing Thistles, so even if it was a camp/cruising oriented boat it would have to a pretty good sailor.
Make each moment an occasion to live deeply, happily in peace.
