Smile Video of test of my $200 eBay asymmetrical spinnaker

Video of test sail of my $200 eBay asymmetrical spinnaker yesterday, set to goofy cover of Steely Dan's "Reelin' in the Years" by The Classics:

I probably should have trimmed the tack line more...

Nice pick up! The closer you sail to the wind, the more luff tension you need, so yes, tack line could have been trimmed more.

BTW, another used main? With a C&C logo?

Yes, another eBay purchase - used it almost all of last season. It has a good shape and seems pretty rugged.

I love Steely Dan and the original version of that song - just can't find it on YouTube from its pre-selected audio files to add.

And another one, set to The Classics's rendition of Steely Dan's "Aja" (perhaps the greatest song from the greatest album ever):

$200 for an Asym - nice !

The sail looks in really good shape. Evidently it was lightly used.

Re: Video of test of my $200 eBay asymmetrical spinnaker

It's cut nicer than the asym that came with my boat (which I sold for $200).

You might try putting a hank on the tack of the sail to keep it at the boat's centerline. That should help you use it over a wider wind range.

Nice score on a nice looking sail. The only criticism I have is the video is missing the pan to the knotmeter showing how fast you are going as a result of your new purchase.
