In my post on the other thread about this trip I pointed out a real good anchorage between St. Augustine and Daytona. No need to go into Palm Coast marina. It's one of the quietest anchorages anywhere on the waterway. We stop there on our way south in the fall and again on our way north in the spring.

Re: sailing as i write

I made it. Im anchored in NSB. Got three interviews tomorrow. Dinghy tied up at muncipal marina, just added chain and pad lock. Once I get job I will move to a mooring or perhaps a marina if it is cheaper than $300.00. Tonight is my grandparents 63rd anniversary, so dinner is in order. I will go ocean sailing this weekend if weather permits. Engine was wonderful, no problem. Got new oars from west marine (90$) and will get insurance and a trolling motor for dinghy as soon as work begins. Thanks all for your support!

Re: sailing as i write

What kind of trolling motor do you plan to get? New or used? $$$alt water or fresh? Minn Kota has some rebates on their motors until the end of the month. I got a Endura C30 freshwater motor for $80 after rebate.
