Lake Lanier, GA sailers

Any Lake Lanier sailers out there? Let''s talk about problems unique to LL;i.e.,hazards, anchoring problems,etc.

Have 3 boats at sunrise cove marina and try to sail 2-3 times a week.
Never really had any problems with hazards, bumped the bottom a couple of times when racing trying to cut some corners. and anchoring on this lake is pretty much a crap shoot, either use cheap anchors or find a buddy with scuba equip.

I have a Catalina 25 at Aqualand.
I have lost one of my 2 anchors EVERYTIME I anchor.
I even use my winches to pull the thing up, and it either breaks my winch or the boat begins to 'sink' lol.

So I usually cut bait and buy another one.

Let me know where you are located, maybe we can sail together sometime.
I am planning on sailing to the dam this weekend ( weather permitting ).
