Summer Solstice in Aialik Bay, Alaska

We had a pretty nice trip. With the exception of in and out of Resurrection Bay we didn't have wind for sailing, but it's always nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of civilization and just relax. We didn't see as much marine life as we normally do, only 3 Humpbacks and 1 Orca (I know, we have become a bit spoiled by the abundance of marine mammals here) but we did have warm weather and only 1 day of rain.

Here are a few pics I took. Enjoy.

Dale,

As usual your photos and the video are just awesome. I hope you got in a little fishing up there, or I am guessing you do often enough. I was wondering if you ever camp on the beaches in those isolated coves?

I have always loved Alaska, my sister lived in Anchorage for several years, and I would do about anything to come up with an excuse to visit her when she was there. She lives in Florida now, and I am not as eager LOL.

I really enjoy your photography and posts, and I appreciate that you could be charging a lot of money to people for those photos in a book. So please accept my thanks and keep them coming.

Mark

I remember the Seward of the '70s. It sure has changed. Great pics.
