Sad day

After owning my hunter 28.5 for 3years, I had to sell her due to a move to Mempis TN.

During the time that I have owned her, this website has been an invaluable source of information as I learned how to sail and maintain the boat. My many thanks to all the good people in this website who spend so much of their day adding valuable comments to the forum.

BTW, I listed the boat on sailboat listings.com and it sold in 4 days. I was shocked! Mark - if you are reading, take care of the boat!

BTW II: my wife promises that we will get a bigger boat in a few years, but this time in Destin....... I'm going to hold her to her word!

Thanks again everyone.

Chris

Sounds like the wife is definitely a keeper... Even if the boat wasn't.

Is listings.com a boat site? Followed link and took me to a real estate site

Sorry to hear you had to sell; those are nice boats. Hopefully you'll enjoy your time in Memphis. There should be lots of lakes around; how 'bout a nice 14-18' so you can "keep your skills sharp" until it's time for the bigger boat?

I agree with jimgo. Get a smaller dailsailer to keep up the skills. I'm an hour north of Nashville and going to sail my boat an hour north of me in Kentucky.

There's some lakes around. towing a daysailer wouldn't be too bad and don't have to pay any slip fees for storage.

Sad news indeed. Hopefully you'll get a smaller boat to play around on before you go to Destin. Don't dream too big for Destin, the bridge is only 50 feet, a taller rig will give you headaches tipping over far enough to get out.

On the plus side you can now visit:

Central
Tom's
Corky's
Interstate
Neely's
Cozy Corner
Rendezvous
and on, and on.

When you are tired of BBQ let me know and I'll try to think of some of the other cool places to feed in Memphis.
