Yeah, I guess Hinterhoeller screwed up and forgot to drill the mast hole in the middle of the coach roof and drop the mast right down into the center of the saloon.

I prefer to say that FATE is the modern sailboat without all that wire rigging, guy-wire stuff like old fashion bi-wing airplanes from 100 years used to have and some sailboats STILL have.

Odd rig for sure, but it suits my needs (and personality??). Happy 4th and safe travels.

Hey Bubblehead. No worries! If she had a disapproving look I'm sure it was intended for me!

BTW...wherever one ends up dont acnhor close to a channel and plan to stay the night. He crazys leave in a mad rush for home, 60 mph at night on the water isnt where I want to be. Been there done that many years ago leaving Baltimore Harboar after the show. A cirgarette boat came close enough that his bow spray was in the cockpit...wtf?

Re: Anchorage for Annapolis Fireworks?

I was told I have one of the best spots for the fireworks show. I will be the tech on call at the boat yard for Friday and was told to tie up at our end dock after work on Wednesday so I can get a great view.

I hope everyone has a great 4th and all your boats work perfect..... I might be a little under the weather and don't wish to work )

It's insane, right? I cannot believe the stinkpots that go full throttle down the Severn after the show. Last time we waited it out to let that first wave to clear. On our way home one of the demons had run aground on a shoal. Justice!

Fireworks in Annapolis were great! Anchored at 6:00 near EYC. Grilled dinner. Left slowly and carefully.
