Ted Hood is no more... :(

Ted Hood is no more...

Frederick E. ("Ted") Hood 1927-2013
We are sad to announce the passing of Ted, an inspiration to all of us in the yachting world. Our hearts go out to the Hood family. Ted Hood was a remarkable yachtsman, a beautiful designer and a great man. He will be missed.

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

Re: Ted Hood is no more... :(

We just happen to be passing through Marblehead on our way from Virginia to Maine where we use to live and heard of his passing. Always admired the Little Harbor 38 he designed and which he sailed singlehanded up through the mooring field....as well as his expertise in sailmaking and racing. When we lived here, my mooring was right in front of his house on the neck (before he moved his operation to Rhode Island). Rest in Peace.
