Heading down to San Fran this morning to pick up a yacht

Myself and a couple of crew will be down there in Pittsburgh CA to pick up a Ocean Alexander 50 to bring back to Bellingham. Standing out of Frisco Tuesday on the tide.

Yup. When I saw Charlie's post I could almost hear Herb Caen turning in his grave.

Re: Heading down to San Fran this morning to pick up a yacht

Was raised and worked 31 years in "Frisco". I am guilty of referring to all of Southern California as "LA", and Seattle as "up north".

I always thought the San Francisco establishment was rather stuffy. A long time ago I had the experience of visiting Melvin Belli's residence as a telephone repair man, what an experience it was.

Forgot this, hope you can post your trip. The ride back uphill can be nasty, even this time of year. Always enjoy your posts.

Got back yesterday. One gale South of Cape Blanco, lost an engine off of Cape Flattery. The usual delivery goodies.
