Ye better start believin"

Ah....pirates.....I mean truly ...what is more inspirational to stoke the fantasies of men, bringing them to the sea. I was seduced by a pirate museum in Belize city....d*mn ...they served free rum....fer gawd's sake, I was staggering at 10 am.....ahem.....What is better to get people into the idea of sailing than adventure, high seas, pirate booty and pirate lasses....? Nothing....so what are we promoting these days? Derned if I know......It is time to make sailing the most adventurous, swash buckling, booty pillaging sport there is.

Alas, the reality of life sets in......Pictures: Slave Shackle, More Found On Blackbeard's Ship

Lets rejoice in the fact that there is rum, boats and brilliant sunsets, and sunrises and safe ports to refit.

Leave behind your life that is just as temporal as any well spun tale.......

Tide is right, stars are aligned....let us go.....NOW!

Well, with that one being wrapped to prevent chafing I'm guessing it wasn't used for slaves. The reality of pirates doesn't live up to the romance, for certain. Still, historical evidence suggests that blacks were able to attain something near freedom and equality in some pirate crews.

I'm certainly a big proponent of rum, however!!!
