The water in the springs is startlingly clear. Some of the Johnny Weissmuller 'Tarzan' films were shot there, as well as the 'Creature From The Black Lagoon' movies and the old 'Sea Hunt' TV show. If you can watch any of those, you'll get an idea of what I mean.

The water in the Keys used to be like that at times, but visibility there has gone downhill the last twenty years. They're still fun to dive, though. And sail. Have some good Polaroid sunglasses if you're going to sail them. Here are some tips to keep in mind.

You mean beside the winter's warm weather and unfrozen sea?
Up here a 45/70 Guide Gun is my copilot! It is funny that where we lived you would go for a walk in the neighborhood (this is totally in the middle of nowhere by most standards-130 miles from a grocery store) and everyone you would meet was carrying. Nothing like a mom pushing a stroller with a 44 in a chest holster.

And on the warm weather and unfrozen sea...thats just rubbing it in man. Ouch.
