Re: small boat id

Well, the guy got back with me. He got it in Santa Barbara. It's pretty old. No HIN. He thinks it was a one of or a small manufacturer tender that was converted to sail. My dinghy is like that. It was made in 74 by the conlin boat works, but they went under in the 80's and I can't find any info on their boats.

While I am asking, I will include pictures of it. Maybe one of you can tell me something. I don't think the boomed lateen it had, when I got it, was original. I made a sprit sail for it and recently have been converting it to a shallow modified full keel, instead of the daggerboard. It will allow me to get rid of the DB trunk and my experimental keel has performed great. It sails to within 40 degrees of the wind, is a lot less tender, tacks great, and rows great, too. Anyhow, here are some pics. Just in case there is interest, I will also include a pic of the hull, with the keel I am going to glass on.

These pics show the hull and sail it came with.

Re: small boat id

These show it as it is, now, and the temporary keel, which I am going to replicate in fiberglass and glass on. The blue tape line is the waterline, now. The water comes to the top of the tape. I will gain about 2" of additional freeboard, at the stern, once I finish with the keel and remove the DB trunk.

Again, any info I can find about my dinghy would be appreciated, too.
