Re: This has everything;Sailing,God, Goverment & Escape

I read an article about it in the UK Daily Mail today.

You gotta give them credit, though. They were out there for months and were down to a juice box and a moldy raisin between them and didn't feel like they were in any real trouble. I think there's a Sushi Chef Transpac skipper they'd be perfect crew for!

And now, it has not one, not two, but THREE separate threads on Sailnet dedicated to it... :-)

Sigh. Funny other than the bit where they took their two young children with them.
You never know they might come on here and post about it in the BFS thread

Knuckleheads. No BFS for you!

Look at the little girl's face at the bottom of the frame. She's really looking forward to 18. Oh, and I think God gave them their answer on the whole government thing.

PS - anyone know the make of the boat?

Why even take a boat, just do us all a favor and jump in the water. If you pray hard enough, God will take care of you. If you die, well then, you just didn't have enough faith.

Re: This has everything;Sailing,God, Goverment & Escape

You know the story of the family sitting on their roof during the flood? A rescue boat comes to take them to safety, but they refuse to board it, saying "God will save us from the rising waters". The water continues to rise and they drown. When they see God in heaven, they ask him why he didn't save them. He says, "I sent you a rescue boat".

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.
