WINTER COVER 1980 C-30

Hi everyone, anybody have a used winter cover for a c-30 ? Can''t afford a new one anytime soon and not handy enough to build one UNLESS someone has plans I can read. Thanks in advance, i''m in New England and need one this winter.....

I think you can build a cover even you are not handy. This is not rocket science.

If you leave your mast up, use you boom as the center beam of your frame. Rent a conduit bender, buy 15 or so pieces of conduit, some conduit connectors, a hack saw, and a screw driver. Also buy some rubber cap ends to fit over the ends of your conduit. All of this is commonly available at any hardware store. It will take a few hours, but it is easy to do. Use tie down line to secure your pieces of conduit to the boom and places on deck so tehy won''t shift around during the winter. If you have a spinaker pole, use it in front of the mast. If not get a 16 ft 2X4 for your center beam.

Buy a blue plastic tarp - I get up to 5 years use out them in Milwaukee wnters and they are cheap. Duct tape is another needed tool for sealing seams, and patching holes.

This is all done for under $100. You can do it!
