A week ago (Monday morning) when we were transiting the C&D canal, a couple of fishermen started chatting away (and dropping f-bombs!) right on Channel 16! I couldn't believe it.

Then there was the French woman who announced to the world that her boat was exiting the C&D canal into the Delaware River. This elicited a bunch of questions from the USCG, trying to figure out what her problem was. The discussion was difficult because the woman spoke very little English. Finally, the USCG guy simply asked, "You are just announcing this, right? There's nothing wrong with your boat?" When she still didn't seem to understand, he finally said "Please switch to 22 alpha." I was curious enough that I switched over too, but she never responded. She probably didn't understand his request.

Did anyone else hear this?
