Making Headway...finally!!!!!

Hi all. In January I bought my first sailboat and decided to give her a new look as the inside was outdated. I've been working daily to fulfill my dream of making this boat what it's becoming...perfect for me. I've replaced all wood an re fiberglassed everything. New plumbing, and starting the new electrical work. I thank you all for the advice you have been giving me. I'm installing the new wall for the head this week. I figured while I was at it, I may as well replace every bit of wood in the boat (it was the only thing left to replace). Take a look at my pics an let me know what you think!

Outdated? Good on you for ripping it all out like that. Wow. There's something about "no right angles" to keep it challenging. You're doing great! What kind of sailboat is it?

Looks great! Where do you get your marine plywood?

SailingSouth180 08-29-2013 12:53 PM

Well, outdated yes but the gentleman before me used regular lumber instead or marine plywood for both bulkheads and internal woodwork so it had some rot. So I used marine plywood and fiberglassed the bulkheads, whereas the manufacturer never did that. It's a Newport 28 by Capital Yachts. Thanks for all the good reviews. :)

I get my wood from a lumber yard in Tampa an the Teak is from Stewart Florida.
