Sea view only has the one yard at shilshoal now. Most of the biggeryards like seaview and csr are down to one location due to a political move a few years back, along with the local/national depresion going on. At least in Seattle proper. Both still have yards elsewhere 20-30 miles away.

Then the OP does not live aboard a ranger 23!

Re: Getting standing rigging replaced in Seatte- suggestions?

Got a very reasonable bid from CSR to replace rigging, new main halyard and changing a gate valve thru hull to a proper seacock. Going to go with them unless anyone has had bad experiences with them....

Maybe I'll have them prep the hull and then I'll put on a new coat of paint....

Apparently they do rigging work on sailboats.

Matthew,

CSR is probably the 2nd best yard in the seattle area, not sure who first is! Everyone else is third or farther down the list.

Re: Getting standing rigging replaced in Seatte- suggestions?

While not specifically asked by the OP, I did recently replace all my own standing rigging using Wire and Norseman fittings I bought from RiggingOnly.com (they were very responsive). It was VERY easy... all 8 wires completed in around 3 hours and I spent perhaps half of what I would have spent having it done. I'm also happier with the (reusable) Norseman terminals than I would have been with swages.

You may not be interested in a DIY solution, but if you've even thought about it, I can tell you that my first (and only) time doing it myself went fine.
