Re: Thanks

You are welcome.
Your "dock vs mooring" thread topic was well received.

Re: Thanks

Don't take this the wrong way, but if you're truly appreciative, be sure to stick around. Eventually you'll do the same for the "next generation," and so on.

Re: Thanks

Didn't mean to make it sound as if I was leaving. I'm not going away. I probably not getting a boat till spring or latter. Then I'll have even more questions and then something to share to others. I want to get a better understanding of what I'm getting into. I have some extra money but not enough to just haphazardly through it away.

Re: Thanks

Sorry, my reply sounded a little snippy. We get a lot of people who pop in for the "what's the best boat for me" kinds of questions, then disappear. The site as a whole, IMHO, is better when we get new people who actually stay even after they have their boat. I've only been a member here for a little while, but what I noticed was that there are certain members who have been here a long time, or who know each other, or who have reputations for providing accurate information/good advice. I hope to stick around long enough to develop such a reputation, and I hope others will too, because some of those guys are getting a little long in the tooth (like the self-proclaimed "best looking male moderator") and the site is going to go downhill if we don't have new people coming in to take their place.

So, stick around, ask lots of questions (I've probably asked more stupid questions then you could think of, so don't be afraid to ask 'em!), and learn all you can. It's a great place!
