I'm in 28 03N/91 10W now and I've got ESE-20 and 4 Ft. Weather is starting to deteriorate but nothing bad yet, hopefully everything will stay to the Eastward of me.

Your crazy. A flat bottom dug out canoe is obviously the way to go lubber.

"Go West, young man".... That ESE wind is your friend, and should blow you away from trouble, especially if you head that way ;-) Best wishes and stay safe.

There was a report on CNN from a beach near where landfall is expected and it was an idyllic morning. She mentioned how it would have been 150 years ago when there would have been little warning of what was coming. She said no warning but there a few signs.

For those in the area, this is a pretty shallow area is it not? Waves would be much worse in really shallow areas.

Back to Grenada in early December. Not sure I will remember how to sail. Will spend the winter and early spring in the Caribbean and then head to Bermuda and the northeast US. Still trying to decide if we will bring the boat to Canada, either in 2015 or 2016.
