World's worst sailor - needs 10 rescues in a month!

I saw link this on another message board. I'm surprised nobody has posted it here yet.

Britain's Captain Calamity arrested after being rescued for a TENTH time as his yacht is grounded | Mail Online

They impounded this guy's boat after the fifth rescue, and HE WENT AND GOT ANOTHER BOAT!!! Give him credit for persistence!

Oh wow, the article is priceless. I couldn't help but think of all the recommendations for people to just go out and do it. Apparently there's limits.

To imply that someone's "look" makes them look like a loser is shallow and petty. His actions make him a loser not his physical appearance....

Well, technically I wasn't commenting on his physical appearance. I was commenting on the demeanor that he presented in his picture, which was a matter of his own choosing, and not any unavoidable physical attributes.

But just to humour you I'll delete the comment and let the rest of you draw your own conclusions on his "look."

Sailing on the ocean isn't dangerous. It's the hard stuff on the edges that's the problem.
Flybyknight and harmonic like this.

The kid probably has mental health issues. Clearly, the pics make him look bad, the article proves it.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

I give him credit for getting out there. Most people his age have no interest in sailing at all.

But then, we wonder why people think sailing is dangerous. He is not helping the cause
