Polls of this nature are fun, but not very practical. I voted for SF because that's where all my time is, but I hear the East Coast and the Great Lakes are great also.

Miami is many times better than Fort Lauderdale for saililng. Biscayne Bay has anchorages, protected sailing (bay), interesting scenery. Fort Lauderdale is just boring ocean/coastline...up and down, and its bumpy and rough since its open ocean sailing.

By that methodology The Great Salt Lake Marina would be one of the best in the world as it is nothing but sailboats.

I am particularly pleased with San Diego's weather, wish we had San Francisco's wind though.

I, myself, personally intend to continue being outspoken and opinionated, intolerant of all fanatics, fools and ignoramuses, deeply suspicious of all those who have "found the answer" and on my bad days, downright rude.

Not too mention, you are just a day away from the Bahamas, from either place really.

Chicago, IL.

I have lived both in Chicago and Ft Lauderdale. Chicago has more sailboats sailing.
