Seeking J-22 trailer

I'm looking to buy a trailer for my J-22. New or Used. What features should I make sure are included?

Thanks,
David Goode

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat

Re: Seeking J-22 trailer

I'm guessing you will have a really hard time finding a used one. I don't know if it is even possible to launch a J22 from a ramp. If it is you will probably need a tongue extension. You probably do not need dual tires. For a boat of this weight, I don't think you need trailer brakes (others may disagree).

Re: Seeking J-22 trailer

+1 Triad. Single axle with brakes. That's how they come.

You might be able to find a clapped out J24 with a double axle Triad. In many cases the trailer is worth more than the boat. For someone who is tired of paying storage for POS boat you might be able to buy boat and trailer cheaper than a trailer alone. Sell the old Jboat or donate it.
