Question AquaBatten AO62

I found this on my deck so it came from one of my sails. For the life of me I can not figure out what it is for and where it came from. Internet searches have been fruitless.

HELP!

Re: AquaBatten AO62

Is that all the same object or 3 or 4 different things? The first and second pictures look like something that would ride the track in your mast or on your boom. Kind of like a slug.

Re: AquaBatten AO62

It's a leech line cleat off a main sail or possible a leech or foot line cleat off of a headsail. They are assembled/bolted together through the sail, you can see the (worn) 'grips' of the 'clam cleat' that's meant to lock the leech/foot line. It simply vibrated apart and the bits landed on deck, I suppose. Most likely the main since nothing went over the side.

One of your sails will have a couple of small holes close together near the clew.

Re: AquaBatten AO62

Thanks - I will look at the sails and find the spot.
