Irwin 27 mast

I have a 1970 model Irwin 27. One of the halyards (for the main sail) is fouled at the top of the mast, so the mast must come down. This will be a new experience for me, and I was wondering if any fellow Irwin 27 owners could tell me if this boat has a hinged mast step or tabernacle. I would be happy to have anything from advice to volunteers, so please feel free to contribute your thoughts. Thanks!

Re: Irwin 27 mast

Why don't you climb the mast instead?

Primarily because the mast is not fitted with steps.
