Re: Smacky is a published author

For anyone in the PNW, in January I am doing a seminar at the Vancouver boat show on our medevac to an 1100 foot container ship 1040 miles north of Hawaii in August 2012 and the role that AMVER and the RCC played.

I will post the date and time when it is confirmed.

I have posted the videos earlier, but I can re-post if needed.

Smacky let me have a pre-publication copy of his article which helped me flesh out the presentation. From my experience, the advise he offers is excellent.

Knowing that AMVER is providing this service is very comforting.

Jack - thanks again. But I have to give credit where it's due...this is not my advice, but that of the USCG, Unlimited Masters such as Evans Hoyt and John Konrad V, and many others.

I just compiled their very valuable info/advice into a single article. So, I'm just the interviewer/writer, not the expert. Not by any means.

Hopefully, though, this will get sailors of all kinds more motivated to take advantage of Safety at Sea seminars and equivalent.
