Re: Help with recovering interior Cushions / Pearson 28-1

You could add some metal boning and then you could have corset cushions. But this idea actually has merit i have to redo some cushions on my boat or well they were missing but when i sold my folk-boat i stole most of the cushions out of it so I'm going to cut them up and was looking for a way to cover them in fabric without needing an industrial strength sewing machine. Where did you source the fabric btw? Great winter project.

Re: Help with recovering interior Cushions / Pearson 28-1

I still have the one 1980 S2 8.0B , but sold the 1976 S2 8.0A about two months ago.
Saw the Pearson and liked the larger size and felt it was a good buy. Looking to sell the
other S2 now also. The Pearson will need more work to look as good as the S2, but the Pearson is roomier and sails great.

On the cushions and velcro, I'll have to try it.
I work with aviation and it is used a lot in interiors to hold seat cushions in place.
In the some aircraft the glue lets loose when it gets hot in aircraft when left outside on the airport ramp

LoomCraft in Burlington NC. They ave locations in different States
$11.99 a yard and got 10% off just for asking
They did my cushions in my S2 for under $1k and this time for the Pearson I only needed the V-berth covered and thought I'd give this a try.

sorry I didnt reply sooner. I still have the S2, slowly working on her. The Pearson is a little
larger and heavier. Sails really nice, but has taken all my time getting her back in shape, lots of projects in the works
