Annual boat costs
Sailing season is about over. The bills are all in. I added them up and divided by the displacement of the boat, in hundredweight, the idea came from a Beneteau website. The categories are: fixed costs like moorage, insurance and haulouts; maintenance or things on the boat that needed attending to; and improvements or things new or changeouts that are upgrades. The total tally came out to $112/cwt (hundredweight). I checked out the Beneteau posts and it seems the costs vary from $150 to $33/cwt. My Catalina 22 came in at $44/cwt. Anyone else willing to share their experiences??
