We are considering a job move to Sacramento, CA. We own a Catalina 42 Mk II (42'' sailboat, draft 6 feet, height above waterline about 60 feet.) We are wondering where one would keep such a sailboat in the Sacramento area. In Sacramento? In Vallejo? Further down the bay?

We used to keep our boat at Vallejo. You could try Antioch and there are various marinas around the Delta, but then you are river sailing. Vallejo might be a decent compromise if you want to do bay sailing, but it''s still a bit of a ride from Sacramento.
