all these flashing ads

do i have a ad virus? i get all these irratating flashing ads on each side of the sailnet forum. is it just me?

get adblock then join fanboy.com and download the filters. stops 99% of goggle analytics

I also have AdBlock plug in for my Firefox browser - no pop up ads.

Turn off Javascript and/or plugins in your browser and *many* display problems go away, and pages load faster, too. It's easy enough to turn them back on to watch a video or something if you want.

If you're using Firefox, there's also a great program (free) NoScript. It stops any website from writing nasty tracking or annoying/malicious scripts to your HD.

+1 on disabling Javascript which is a portal for all kinds of intrusive garbage.
