Those are pretty cool maps, I've seen them presented as art.

However, the subtleties of wind inside a typical passage are so unique that I'm not sure these help much. By looking at all the weather buoys within 50 nm, they are remarkably different around here.

I love that map, I look at it almost every day. It's beautiful.

I would love to see it animated over time, like being able to see the last week animated into a couple minutes.

That is pretty cool.

Too bad it doesn't cover offshore. We use PassageWeather.com. Not as fun to look at but it gives a pretty good picture of offshore conditions, not just wind.
