Round the Horn
Walt,
Challenge Business is a pretty good group. I did the Fastnet Challenge with them last year. Logged over 600 miles on one of their 67 footers. First rate staff and boat. With the dollar continuing to sag further it gets pretty pricey to sail with them, but I wouldn''t hesitate to do it again. I followed the first leg of the Global Challenge but haven''t been as close to this second leg. The Vendee Globe is also in progress. I think there are 17 of the original 20 still in the race. They are just rounding Cape Hope and heading east. While all of that is going on Ellen McArthur left England recently and is trying to set the solo circumnavigation time record on a trimaran. All three events should be in the Southern Ocean at the same time. Lots happening, and their internet sites make it very fascinating to follow their progress. Just in case you''re interested, the sites are: www.vendeeglobe.org/uk/ and www.teamellen.com.
