Bahamas Insurance needed!
I''ve been looking for insurance which will cover the Bahamas for my 1981 Telstar Trimaran and have had no luck. It seems most companies only want to write for high-valued boats less than 10 years old. I''m even willing to get liability only coverage. I''ve sailed frequently to the Bahamas on my last boat and have no claims, so I find it hard to belive there is nothing out there. I think the recent hurricanes have scared everyone away from all but the high budget policies. So far I''ve tried: Progressive, Boat US, International Marine, Jack Martin & Associates, Alden, INAMAR, and World Marine. If anyone has other ideas, please let me know.
