Gord

I want to thank you for setting up a place for us to stay in contact, over at Cruisers Forum. I have been there and found it with very little effort. The rest of us, dummys, out here, have just been floating around in the slowly swirling water headed for and waiting to go down the drain.

Everyone else --- Gords directions, here, to Cruisers forum is in the thread - "Would SA or other well funded org host us?"

My personal preference would be to all meet up over at SailJazz when Sam & Cheryl get thier message board up & running. And I think we should all cintribute the ten bucks or what ever support they ask for. After-All, we would not be here if it was not for them.

Thanks Walt.

It would be a shame to have the kinship & community that has developed at the Sailnet Message Board disappear with the demise of the commercial operation.

Established in December of 2002, The ‘CruisersForum’ < http://cruisersforu.com > is a not-for-profit website, that bills itself as a “discussion board and photo gallery for cruising sailors and wannabes”.

Our generous host, Gisle (from Horhum, Norway) pays all expenses himself, and there is no advertizing, nor ‘pop-ups’ (et al). As such, and due to the intellectual contributions of it’s (over 1300) membership, the board is a vibrant, interesting, and informative community of sailors - jam packed with expert information & opinion.

The “Sailnet” thread is located at: http://cruisersforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2059

Best regards,
Gord May

I have just spent the day reading at the cruiser''s forum at Cruiser Log http://www.cruiserlog.com

Not the BIGGEST forum board but VERY interesting and appears to be well moderated.

salnan:
I’m certain the administrators (Bob & JeanneP) of the CruiserLog will appreciate your endorsement. I agree with your favourable evaluation.
FWIW: I am associated with another fine site, the CruisersForum.
