Re: How do you rate your marina/mooring ?

Just a quick update, after reading all these posts I started feeling really hosed. So I started making a few calls to our marina and others and I have found a new slip(about 50 yards from my current slip) in the $9.00 a foot range which is better than the $13.00 I pay now. Any way thanks for saving me some boat money. It is next to the smelly fishing guys/gals so I guess you do get what you pay for, however I was buddys with them before so now I will be even more cozy with them. LOL The guy missing his thumb was always great to get diesel advise from. He's a ex-diesel mechanic.

Regular Dockage*:
One Month Only: $14.00 per ft. per month
Two - Five Months: $13.30 per ft. per month
Six - Eleven Months: $12.00 per ft. per month
Twelve Months or longer: $10.80 per ft. per month

the good thing is I do get a discount for paying up front and I split the cost with the other captain.

Re: How do you rate your marina/mooring ?

We payed $2400 for the summer (April 15 to Oct 15), Winter storage is $600. Our marina was bankrupt 3 years ago and is in the rebuilding stage. 2 years ago they were only 40% capacity, last year they were at 70% capacity. They are slowly improving the docks. Last winter they put in new Power and water pedestals and a new sea wall. There is a restaurant and bar and small store on site. Staff are all friendly. The boat repair is not very dependable or good. We are on western Lake Erie.
