Prop for Pearson 35

I have a 1969 P35 with an Atomic 4 (30hp) direct drive. I am using a 12"x5" three blade prop and can only attain about 1700 RPMs at full throttle (the engine is in good working order). This only generates about 14 hp and gives me very little reserve power. Indigo has come out with a 3-blade 10"x7.4" prop that they claim will give higher RPMs and better performance, with almost no increase in surface area on the prop. Has anyone tried this prop? Any other thoughts would be appreciated!

gbeardmore,

Have you tried asking Gordon Torreson at the Marine Diesel Direct forum?

Good luck, Steve.

Suggest you buy Dave Gerr''s _Propellor Book_. You''ll know more than most engine shops. You might also make a better choice than other owners of your own model boat.
