North Cove, Old Saybrook

Just got word today that North Cove, Old Saybrook, will NOT be dredged this year, or perhaps never again. I renewed my mooring fee based on the "cautious optimism" that since the money was allotted, the bid received etc., that the dredging, much needed, was to take place.I feel I was mislead by the powers that be, and since I cannot bear to have my boat stuck in the mud for 75% of the day, I will need to find another place to moor my boat. I would like to get my mooring fee back. Does anybody else moor in North Cove? There is power in numbers and perhaps if we could get a petition, we would be heard better. Matt McCay Blue Moon

Talk to a local lawyer. You might be able to sue them for a refund in your own right, and on behalf and all others similarly situated. They might refund your fee if you promise not to "stir up" the others.

boy time flies

Haven't been on this site for awhile. Anyways, refund was no issue at all. I've been in New london the last couple years. Nice to have deep water all around.
