Sea Scouts

Ahoy out there,

Look in you local communities to see if there is an active Sea Scout Ship and VOLLENTEER as a Adult leader or consultant. These hard working young adults are learning skills that some of us take for granted. All Ships need help and if you have children between the ages of 14 and 20 they can be involved.

There ships all over the country and many forgien nations this is truly a global movement.

For more information you can visit the web site at: www.seascouts.org

Thanks

Good job, Dave! Sea Scouts deserve all the support we can muster. I''m enjoying my 12th year as skipper of Ship 1, Westerly RI(but who''s counting?) and we are celebrating our 80th year. The thing that keeps me going is to see the kids'' eyes light up when they accomplish something they never imagined doing and watch them stand a little taller. There is no greater reward for doing what we enjoy...sailing.

I''ll be more than happy to get you a list of Sea Scout ships in New Jersey along with contacts and numbers if you like. You can also try your local Boy Scout Council for the info as Sea Scouts is a division of BSA (it might be travelling under the guise of the newly designated "Venture Scouting". Let me know if I can be of assistance.

The Dolphin

I'm off SSS Chaser in Napa, CA. At AMR last year we won the Pull Boat Trophy, but as far as we know the people that have it are the SSS Dolphin in San Francisco, CA and was wondering if someone had any contact info for them? Any help would be great thanx
