water - we love it and sometimes we hate it...

Here's a pic of a friend of mine's wife rescuing their dog from their house during Hurricane (Tropical Storm to us) Isabel which roared up the Chesapeake Bay in September of 2003. It took my friends a little over two years to get their house rebuilt...

The storm surge was over 15 feet in some places. It did not arrive as a tidal wave event, it was more of a gradual and steady rising over a course of about 4 to 5 hours.

A weekend most would like to forget.

No, one look at that wall of snow and the little wimp ran back upstairs. I had to carry her out through the overhead doors of the attached garage.
