A Raster chart is a digital scan and bit mapping of a paperchart. Graphics are different than a Vector chart which is a digital tracing of a paper chart. I like the Raster charts myself.
I have used the captain for the past 5 years. Just purchased a new Raymarine for our boat in the Great Lakes. I take the Captain to the Carribean when we go. Last year before we left I down loaded identical chartes to my maptech from the internet and had no problem using them on the Captain. I had assumed they were Vector, graphics were noticably different. Guess I'll have to check.
